Getting Started
Is this therapy?
My work is therapeutic in nature, but it is not psychotherapy. I do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Instead, I work through embodied awareness, reflective inquiry, and creative process to support integration, self-understanding, and meaningful change.
This work is a potent complement to psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, coaching, or medical care.
What happens in a ReConnect workshop?
ReConnect is a monthly workshop that combines gentle movement, somatic awareness, and guided attention with journaling. Each month is different, and the focus is to help participants slow down, notice bodily awareness, and explore a different way to connect with themselves. You can see it as your monthly reflective, centering practice.
What is visual journaling in your classes and workshops?
Visual journaling in my workshops is a reflective, image-based practice. It’s about noticing and exploring images over time, layering and revisiting them, rather than creating polished artwork or seeking immediate meaning. We engage ourselves in a depth-oriented process to create meaning and explore different aspects of ourselves.
Do I need prior experience with movement, meditation, or art?
No. All offerings are guided and process-oriented. You do not need prior experience, only curiosity and willingness to explore images, movement, and reflective practices. My visual journaling and reflective workshops focus on exploration, reflection, and meaning-making rather than producing a polished artwork. Beginners and experienced artists alike are welcome.
Sessions, Location, & Practical Questions
Do you work in person, and where are your workshops and sessions located?
Most offerings take place in person in the Main Line and Philadelphia area, often through art centers, studios, or small-group settings. Location details are shared with each offering. I focus primarily on in-person work, as the quality of attention and pacing matters to this practice.
What if I'm not sure this work is right for me?
Uncertainty is welcome. I offer a workshop, ReConnect, each month so you can have a sense of what I do and who I am. You are also invited to reach out with questions or schedule an exploratory call to learn more, without any expectation of commitment.
Contact me at (267) 225-8681 or email me at info@francinebonjour.com.
Do I need to share personal information in groups?
Sharing is optional. You can participate quietly, reflect privately, or speak when comfortable. My groups are structured to honor privacy, pacing, and individual experience.
What can I expect from in a private session?
Private sessions are one-to-one and tailored to you. Depending on your needs and interests, a session may include gentle movement, hands-on or verbal guidance, reflective dialogue, and simple awareness practices. It is often subtle work, different from other hands-on modalities. Sessions unfold at a pace that supports safety, curiosity, and integration.
What can I expect from in a workshop?
Workshops vary by offering but often include a combination of:
-
gentle, grounding practices
-
reflective prompts or journaling
-
mixed-media or creative exploration
-
time for integration and optional shared reflection
Workshops are not therapy groups but are therapeutic by nature. They are structured, facilitated experiences designed to support exploration and orientation in a group setting.
