Re-Connect Workshop
Somatic Awareness & Journaling
for Mental Health and Wellbeing
The busyness of our culture makes it difficult to slow down and pay attention to the subtle needs of our bodies and minds. We often feel stressed and stuck, which causes us to lose our sense of presence, both physically and mentally. This disconnection from ourselves and others can be particularly problematic during overwhelming times, when our need for connection is greater than ever.
In this workshop, you will explore gentle and specific movements inspired by early development and holistic approaches designed to release tension and regulate your nervous system. Once you have entered this safe and centered space, journaling becomes an embodied practice that is meaningful, grounding, and insightful.
All aspects of yourself are interconnected (physical, emotional, psychological), and as we highlight these connections, you will experience greater clarity and aliveness in your entire being.

Reclaim your well-being, one movement and one word at a time.

Who is This For?
This workshop is for people who want to experience:
- Relief from emotional and physical tension
- Less stress and anxiety
- An authentic sense of presence
- Slowing down
- Feeling grounded in their body
How It Works
This mindfulness-based approach uses therapeutic movements and the principles of guided meditation to enhance your overall well-being, starting with the release of tension on a physical level and expanding to your mental and emotional states. Based on the Feldenkrais Method® of somatic education and the therapeutic aspects of journaling, this approach offers a unique experience to regulate your nervous system and explore the deeper parts of who you are.
The results include increased body awareness, reduced tension, and a deeper sense of calm and connection with yourself. No previous experience or skill level is required; the beauty of this practice lies in the fact that everyone begins where they are, allowing for personal improvement and self-discovery.
~ Bring your attention inward
~ Quiet your mind
~ Listen to your body
~ Build emotional regulation
~ Reconnect to yourself
~ Feel the genuine support of community
You will lie on a mat and follow verbal instructions throughout the session. The movements are very slow and gentle, requiring your brain and nervous system to engage more than your muscles. Between the movement sessions, you will have time to journal following meaningful prompts and guidance, and share your experience.
What to bring:
- A mat. A thick one is good - we want you to be very comfortable :)
- Your favorite notebook/journal and a pen
- Extra layers of clothing, you will not get warmed up by the movements

Movement is a medicine for creating change in a person's physical, emotional, and mental states.
